Zaffran (Malad - West), Mumbai, India

Zaffran has many outlets in Mumbai. The one I have been to was in Malad (W) in Infiniti Mall.

Ambiance- The place located in Malad & to be honest is not a grand place mainly to the space constraint. However they have made the most of the space. I liked the fact that the seating was done very tastefully and cosy. It Overlooks the food court and Mall and sweeping vista that you can overlook gave me a different perspective from my perch . There is a water stream which i liked and the chandelier looks very artistic. As the place is small there are high chances you would have to wait, would recommend you to reserve a table. When we were there the music they played was very peppy and kept our mood very upbeat.

Food - Had ordered for Galouti Kebabs and they were pretty nicely done. They were prepared just the way I like them, they were not deep fried  but roasted over tawa. Would also recommend the Roomali Masala Papad & Masala Cheese Nan. Unfortunately not many options for vegetarians. The signature Zaffran naanlets were delicious as well. For main course had ordered the Chicken Tikka biryani which was probably one of the best I have had for a long time.  Aromatic rice cooked in a rich, luscious masala and chunks of chicken that melts in your mouth, the biryani. It was just amazing.

Service- The staff is friendly and attentive. They are a professional set of people who are managing the service at this outlet. As I found it very quick and courteous at the same time.

Value for money - Well with the whole experience I would rate this place slightly on the expensive side

Overall - 3.5\5
Ambiance-3.5\5
Food-4\5
Service-4\5
Value for Money- 3\5

Persian Darbar (Linking Road- Bandra (W) Mumbai, India

This is definitely a must visit if you are a non veg lover. Especially as the name is a giveaway for the Mughlai food. Its a humble request from me please steer away from Chinese (not that its bad). Its located on Linking Road in Bandra (West). Had heard a lot about this place and not a single thing was unjustified.
Ambiance - The decor of this place is different (in a nice way) and I really liked it. The place is spacious. However, if it gets crowded you might feel a bit congested. The lighting was a lit bit low for my taste. But I guess it adds to place mystique

Food- Its known as RAAN king of Mumbai. You would get Raan served to you in 10 different varieties. So it goes without saying that this is a must try when you go over there. The food here is excellent, would recommend to try Kebabs (Kebab Platter for tasting variety of Kebabs). Dahi Lehsuni Kebab was part of the Kebab platter and was just so succulent and melted in my mouth. The food over is rich in spices but isn't of a spicy nature. The quantity of the food would leave you famished by the time you come to the end of your pool. Mutton Raan is recommended by me. In case if you would like to experiment with cuisines there are also lot of options for you to choose from.

Service- I found the staff to be very polite and also the service is remarkably fast over here. They are to say in few words very professional and service was top notch. If you are planning to go on the weekend, please expect the place to be full and be ready for the long wait.

Value for Money- Prices are slightly on the higher side
