Zaffran (Malad - West), Mumbai, India

Zaffran has many outlets in Mumbai. The one I have been to was in Malad (W) in Infiniti Mall.

Ambiance- The place located in Malad & to be honest is not a grand place mainly to the space constraint. However they have made the most of the space. I liked the fact that the seating was done very tastefully and cosy. It Overlooks the food court and Mall and sweeping vista that you can overlook gave me a different perspective from my perch . There is a water stream which i liked and the chandelier looks very artistic. As the place is small there are high chances you would have to wait, would recommend you to reserve a table. When we were there the music they played was very peppy and kept our mood very upbeat.

Food - Had ordered for Galouti Kebabs and they were pretty nicely done. They were prepared just the way I like them, they were not deep fried  but roasted over tawa. Would also recommend the Roomali Masala Papad & Masala Cheese Nan. Unfortunately not many options for vegetarians. The signature Zaffran naanlets were delicious as well. For main course had ordered the Chicken Tikka biryani which was probably one of the best I have had for a long time.  Aromatic rice cooked in a rich, luscious masala and chunks of chicken that melts in your mouth, the biryani. It was just amazing.

Service- The staff is friendly and attentive. They are a professional set of people who are managing the service at this outlet. As I found it very quick and courteous at the same time.

Value for money - Well with the whole experience I would rate this place slightly on the expensive side

Persian Darbar (Linking Road- Bandra (W) Mumbai, India

This is definitely a must visit if you are a non veg lover. Especially as the name is a giveaway for the Mughlai food. Its a humble request from me please steer away from Chinese (not that its bad). Its located on Linking Road in Bandra (West). Had heard a lot about this place and not a single thing was unjustified.
Ambiance - The decor of this place is different (in a nice way) and I really liked it. The place is spacious. However, if it gets crowded you might feel a bit congested. The lighting was a lit bit low for my taste. But I guess it adds to place mystique

Food- Its known as RAAN king of Mumbai. You would get Raan served to you in 10 different varieties. So it goes without saying that this is a must try when you go over there. The food here is excellent, would recommend to try Kebabs (Kebab Platter for tasting variety of Kebabs). Dahi Lehsuni Kebab was part of the Kebab platter and was just so succulent and melted in my mouth. The food over is rich in spices but isn't of a spicy nature. The quantity of the food would leave you famished by the time you come to the end of your pool. Mutton Raan is recommended by me. In case if you would like to experiment with cuisines there are also lot of options for you to choose from.

Service- I found the staff to be very polite and also the service is remarkably fast over here. They are to say in few words very professional and service was top notch. If you are planning to go on the weekend, please expect the place to be full and be ready for the long wait.

Value for Money- Prices are slightly on the higher side

Sigree Global (Malad - West) Mumbai, India

Sigree is located on the  8th floor, Palm Spring, Above Croma, Malad (W).

Ambiance - The place is very spacious & has huge disc shaped lights on the ceiling. The interiors are elegantly done up.  Loved the soft music playing in the background which is not at all intrusive. The concept of this place is similar to the Barbecue Nation, so I'm sure If you loved BBQ nation you would love this place too.

Food - The place is a buffet style place. The spread is very diverse and offers a lot of options for both Veg & Non Veg food lovers. Starters are placed on the frill and some would also be served directly on the table itself. There is so much variety it is assured that there would be no place left in your stomach after tasting all the food. I loved the grilled mushrooms in the starters, they were just great. Pasta was cooked well and just the right amount of seasoning to my taste. Had Biryani for my main course (to be honest was really full by the time came to eat it).

Service - The service was a great experience. There are small things which I liked, for instance for people who were veg, they had plates with green border plates and the handles of the grilling rods were green as well (no chance of making a mistake of having non-veg).

Value for Money- I would say that its a good value for money based solely on the variety I get & the experience I have had.

Chili's - Inorbit Mall (Malad - West), Mumbai India

Chili's at inorbit mall is a new branch opened up sometime back. Had been there with my family. Definitely a recommend to all. Great place if you like Tex-Mex food.

Ambiance- The vibrant colors of this place are so inviting you can't help but think that let me just have a look. And no sooner than you do so. You are pulled in. The interiors are contemporary but spacious. They have made a great use of the space and a great seating arrangement with Bar at the corner. There is plenty of space between the tables, so its not at all cramped. For those who don't want to miss any games there are TV screens put up as well.

Food- Nachos with cheddar cheese is just amazing. You have an option of half or full nachos. Quesadillas with Jalapenos & Cheese were just mouth watering and bursting with cheese.   For the mains we ordered Chicken & Classic Paneer Fajita. The presentation of the dish was wonderful and the quantity was great as well. Definitely try the non-alcoholic margarita, they look so pretty and taste great. Would recommend WILD RASPBERRY MARGARITA & HONEY MELON MARGARITA. There are so many other options I wanted to try but was so full at the end of the soiree. Would need to visit it soon again.

Service- The front desk staff are very helpful. There are different menus which at times can be confusing. However the staff do help you out with recommendations as well are very patient, especially with me while I decided on what I wanted to eat.

Value for Money- Definitely a place to be & value for money if you like Tex-mex fare. Also, the portions are so large would recommend to go as a group would have a great time.

Village - Soul of India (Kandivali - West) Mumbai, India

Village is located in Raghuleela Mall in Kandivali (West). Its a vegetarian themed restaurant. I had been with my family to this place. Had a lovely experience and I would recommend this place to one and all. Its a great place to go and you wouldn't even know how the time passes by

Ambiance - The ambiance of the place as the name like a Village Fair. A ‘banyan tree’ stands right in the middle, with a bangle seller, a mehendi designer and a jyotish with a fancy laptop sits below it.The staff of the place is dressed in traditional clothes. You would also see gola walas, cycle chai sellers,  It’s a noisy and vibrant place. The seating arrangements recreate the setting of a village. Those who love garba this is a place for them, as you can dance to your hearts fill. There are so many things to do that you wouldn't get bored. The best part for my son was there were 2 trucks (mock trucks) which were there. And he was busy pretend driving those.

Food- There are lot of variety of food available (buffet) for everyone's taste buds. Amazing amount of options available in starters and main course. You have lot of variety in Dals, Kadis, Sabzis, Pulao, Snacks and Sweet Dishes.  Also counters serving items such as Ice gola, Farsan, Panipuri, Papad and Cycle Wali Chai. The Tava Counter with Kebabs is great as well.

Service - The service and the eye to detail for the staff was good. There was never any dish which was empty. And the staff are very friendly.

Value for Money- Its indeed a great value for money with all that is going on in Village. It was a great experience for my family and me.

Northern Tadka (Malad - West) Mumbai India

Northern Tadka is one of my favorite places to go when I yearn for some Punjabi Food. Its situated n Malad west near Movie time Cinema.

Ambiance: As per the name they have given the northern side Punjabi Feeling and very well done indeed. For those wishing to catch up some sports as well they have screen for match viewing as well. The only thing is that the place is a bit to compact for my taste and if everyone starts talking loudly the place becomes noisy.

Service: Nice service provided by the people there. The staff is friendly and Management is great. The staff was dressed in traditional attire adding to the ambiance of the place.

Food: The Quantity and Quality of the food is great and really love to dig in the Punjabi dishes. Had ordered for Biryani and the quantity was good  Bar menu seem to be over rated.

Value for Money- Overall I would say that its a good value for money keeping into consideration all the factors which make for the experience in Northern Tadka

Dakshin (Borivali- West) Mumbai India

Dakshin is a quaint little place in Borivali. I've been going to this place with my family for a long time. The good & bad thing about it is that it remains unchanged. Great place if you are a Malwani food lover.

Food- The food is great over here, I love to dig on a plate of Kombadi-Wada. The thali is pretty filling in itself. Sea Food is worth to give a go. One of the good things is that you get chappatis (so no maida) & other options like bhakris as well.

Ambiance- The ambiance is  good with its semi dhaba look. The AC room is good as compared to sitting outside. Over the weekends the place is generally full with people waiting to get seated.

Price- The price is reasonable & value for money.

Service- The service is fast & good.
Opening hours

11 AM to 4 PM
7 PM to 12 Midnight

Vertigo - Bar & Eatery (Malad -West)- Mumbai , India

I love going to Vertigo as it has all that I want in a place to spend a relaxing couple of hours. Great Food, Amazing Music & Excellent Service.

Its located just off the Link Road at Malad (West). Though this is at a noisy cross section. Once you enter you forget all the things about outside world.

Food- The food is amazing & they compliment the brew that you order for. You can get food to satiate your taste buds and it will surely leave you wanting for more.

Drinks- This is one place where I was able to find all the brands of drinks which I love.

Music- The Music is loud (but doesn't intrude with the conversation). When I was there I really loved to listen to the 80's rock songs and had a great time.

Service- This was the best part. The service is given with a smile and ever attentive without being intrusive.
